On November 2, 1969, Blacksburg Christian Fellowship held its first service. And now 50 years later, on the first weekend in November, we are honoring the Lord for his faithfulness to BCF. We hope you will join us on Saturday, November 2nd and Sunday, November 3rd as we gather to worship the Lord, be encouraged by wonderful testimonies and preaching, and enjoy fellowship together. Here are all the details about this coming weekend’s celebrations.

November 2nd, 6 pm Service of Worship and Testimonies. We will hear from several current BCFers how God used BCF to impact their lives and we will also hear from Paul King, who along with his wife Pat, was one of the five founding families of BCF.

  • Open time of Testimonies. The service will also include an open time of testimony for others who wish to share how God has blessed them through BCF. If you wish to share in this way, please send Jeff Highfield highfield.jeff@gmail.com a short note to inform him of this. Testimonies must be brief (2 minutes or less) and God-centered, and it may not be possible to accommodate everyone who wishes to share because of time limitations.
  • Reception – After the service, we will have a reception to enjoy fellowship together. Many of the high schoolers involved with 217 will be helping with this reception. We need your help making the celebration delicious as we expect a full house. Please click the link to see the various foods that you could bring.

November 3rd, 9:45 am & 11:15 am – During our regular worship services, we will continue to honor the Lord for his faithfulness for 50 years. More worship, a testimony, and David Kingston will be preaching.

  • Potluck (after services) – Please invite current and former BCFers who may be in town to join us for a time of food and fellowship after services on Nov 3rd at 1:00 pm. Please bring your food fully prepared as there will be minimal space for preparing, warming or refrigerating. Consider bringing something in a crockpot or in a cooler if requiring refrigeration.  Two dishes or large, family-sized dishes are suggested. Drinks will be provided.

Pictures – Send any pictures from the past 50 years that could be used as part of the celebration to bcf50@bcf-church.org.
